Feeling like an imposter in your own life?

It’s exhausting, questioning yourself daily – wondering if you’re making the “right” decisions.

Looking to others for how you “should” respond to your challenges. Buying self-help books, by the stacks, in order to “live your best life.”

None of these are helping to get you where you want to be in life.

Wondering where your relationship took a turn?

You exist within a series of relationships: couple, family, friendships, co-workers, employee, tenant, neighbors… you want to feel nourished and competent in these relationships.

“I want to be more assertive with a bossy co-worker.”

“I’m ready to initiate sex with my partner more frequently.”

“I want to have more compassion for my nosey neighbor.”

“Am I an incompetent parent?”

Do you feel defeated because of your choices?

Lonely, overwhelmed, inept, anxious, depressed – this isn’t the life you expected.

Somewhere down the line, you began believing all the critical things your parents told you.

Your partner is unreliable, and you can’t count on them when you need them most. You can’t help developing an expectation that people will let you down.

The quality of your relationships directly impacts the quality of your overall well-being, emotionally and physically.

Frightened to take that first step?

People often worry about the stigma of asking for help.

We’re told by the media and the self-help books that we’re “independent,” and we can do this on our own if we “just put our big pants on.”

Some of us worry about the financial cost of “just talking” to someone.

But what’s the cost of not talking with someone who has the expertise to help you?

What do I mean by the cost?

Are you getting the promotion at work?

Are you experiencing a satisfying romantic relationship?

Are you standing up to an overbearing parent?

The relief, peace, and satisfaction of overcoming stress, worry, and disappointment outweigh the financial costs.

So, can you really afford not to take the first step?

More About me

Why did I name my practice Mountain Vista Reflections?

The answer is three-fold. Living here in Colorado Springs, we see the Mountains every day.

I included Vista because its definition is “an extensive view over a stretch of time or a series of events,” which is what we do in therapy.

And finally, Reflections because transformation involves reflection.
